Madrid
ONE month ago I have been to Madrid and Toledo for six / four days – it’s time to post some impressions and continue my “on the streets of…” series ;).

The trip to Madrid was a spontaneous decision. Flights to Madrid have been cheap in June and I cancelled my plans to drive to Tyrol by car. Madrid was a good choice in retroperspective because it wasn’t that hot in June and the Malasaña part of the city was the perfect place to sleep because you are near the centre and have great bars and restaurants at night. I slept at a Bed & Breakfast called Flat5Madrid – recommended even though the rooms are a little small.

Like many big cities Madrid offers lots of diverse districts with different people. I lived in an alternative district so there were interesting people on the streets. Let’s see some impressions from my walks on the streets and markets of Madrid. If you like to know what kind of photo equipment I use just take a look at the corresponding page on this homepage.

Procession

Since I was in Madrid in June I was lucky enough to see a procession. I was able to witness a second procession in Toledo a couple of days later, impressive events! Here are some pictures.

The sights of Madrid are worth a second article for sure so this is just about some impressions from the streets. Madrid is worth a trip, especially because flights (at least starting from Germany) are often cheap and there are lots of other interesting places surrounding the city. So what are you waiting for :)? The complete set of pictures is available on my photo page.
